Job summary and objectives

The pre-sales engineering role assists in sales and customer management by communicating how iNTERFACEWARE and its Iguana Integration Engine can solve customer challenges in health care integration. The role requires the candidate to engage business and technical audiences by:

  • Delivering the story of our software and services;
  • Displaying an understanding of health care IT domain and common solutions;
  • Analyzing our customers’ business requirements and sharing solutions for meeting those requirements.


Job responsibilities and activities

Pre-sales support (75%)

  • Use technical expertise to engage customers on solutions analysis and help account managers evaluate business opportunities.
  • Present software and solution demonstrations.
  • Support responses to formal requests for information and proposals (RFI/RFP).
  • Facilitate scoping and definition of client-facing projects.

Internal and External Education (25%)

  • Assist in developing and maintaining training assets that help our customers learn our product.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining training assets that help our employees work better and learn more about our customers’ needs.
  • Deliver software training to new and existing customers.
  • Deliver customer and market insights back to organization



  • 2+ years experience in one of the following: pre-sales engineering, business analysis, or software support, development, implementation or training.
  • Communications skills, written and verbal, are paramount. Ability to find common language across business and technical audiences a must.
  • Strong analytical skills. Aptitude to ask the right questions, break down a problem and seek answers through research.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel, primarily to the United States. Travel days will be about 25% a month, on average.


Nice to have

  • Knowledge of health care domain, particularly around health care IT, but also clinical processes.
  • Knowledge of data integration technology and concepts.
  • Experience in programming or scripting languages and related concepts will be helpful. Otherwise, an aptitude to learn.
